I have learned that life as a mom is busy and it’s ok not to work out
every day. Instead, I now focus on getting 2-3 strength training workouts per
week, and other days cleaning, walking or playing with my family is enough. She
has helped me realize that numbers on the scale don’t mean everything, but how
I’m feeling and how my clothes are fitting is more important. I know that I
didn’t get out of shape overnight, and I’m not expecting to be in shape in a
day, but Stephanie has helped me realize all the reasons why slow weight loss
is good, and with all the changes I’ve been making, I’m on the right track. I
have also learned how important sleep is. Having a newborn, good quality sleep
can be hard to achieve, but by prepping and planning ahead I have been able to
improve how much sleep I am getting each night.
Most importantly, I have learned how important my “me time” is. Between
work, family and other obligations, it’s so easy to put myself on the back
burner, but now I try to set aside time each week to do something for me.
Getting a massage, painting my nails, reading a book, or just taking time to
relax. It is very important.
I know I have a long way to go, but thanks to Stephanie, I know that I’m
on the right track. I would not have been able to make the changes that I have
so far without her support, feedback and encouragement. I’m looking forward to
continuing my journey towards a healthier life for my family and me.
